Kenton Richter of Ross County has been appointed to the Ohio Farm Bureau Young Ag Professionals State Committee for a two-year term. The selection was announced at the 2026 Winter Leadership Experience. Richter’s appointment is based on his involvement with the Farm Bureau, leadership potential, and service to the community.

The Ohio Farm Bureau supports young farmers through educational collaborations and programs, as stated on its official website. The organization represents farmers throughout Ohio and operates as a grassroots body that advocates for agricultural policies at various government levels while providing support and benefits to its members.

The Farm Bureau also works to foster member achievements in food, fiber, and fuel production by offering expertise and supporting initiatives such as rural electrification. It collaborates with educational institutions to promote learning opportunities for young farmers. Additionally, the organization maintains a longstanding partnership with Nationwide that began in 1926 when it spun off the Farm Bureau Mutual Automobile Insurance Company.

Ohio Farm Bureau is governed by a 26-member board of trustees and continues its mission of serving the interests of farmers across the state (source).
