State Senator Andrew Brenner honored the Worthington Christian Boys Soccer Team in the Ohio Senate for winning the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division IV State Championship, according to an April 15 announcement.
The recognition highlights the team’s achievement and celebrates their hard work throughout the season. Such honors aim to encourage student-athletes and bring pride to their school and community.
“This is an accomplished group of student-athletes,” said Senator Brenner. “Their hard work and dedication has resulted in an achievement that their school and community can celebrate with pride. I look forward to watching these students have even greater success both on and off the pitch.”
The Worthington Christian Warriors secured a 2-1 overtime victory against the Bay Village Rockets, marking their fourth state title under head coach Dan Roads. The championship win is seen as a significant accomplishment for both players and coaching staff.
