Amherst home prices rise in July 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in July 2017 in Amherst rose by $29,500 while total sales increased by 135.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In July 2017, there were 33 homes sold, with a median sale price of $172,000 - a 20.7% increase over the $142,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 14 homes sold in Amherst in July 2016.

The median sales tax in Amherst for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,489, approximately 1.4% of the median home sale price for July 2017.
