Lorain home prices rise in May 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2017 in Lorain rose by $4,300 while total sales increased by 75%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2017, there were 91 homes sold, with a median sale price of $68,000 - a 6.8% increase over the $63,700 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 52 homes sold in Lorain in May 2016.

The median sales tax in Lorain for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,291, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for May 2017.
