Elyria home prices fall in May 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2017 in Elyria fell by $10,000 while total sales increased by 38.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2017, there were 101 homes sold, with a median sale price of $79,000 - a 11.2% decrease over the $89,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 73 homes sold in Elyria in May 2016.

The median sales tax in Elyria for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,722, approximately 2.2% of the median home sale price for May 2017.
