Madison home prices rise in October 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in October 2017 in Madison rose by $25,600 while total sales increased by 144.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In October 2017, there were 22 homes sold, with a median sale price of $115,000 - a 28.6% increase over the $89,400 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were nine homes sold in Madison in October 2016.

The median sales tax in Madison for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $4,328, approximately 3.8% of the median home sale price for October 2017.
