Madison home prices rise in August 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2017 in Madison rose by $45,800 while total sales increased by 61.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2017, there were 21 homes sold, with a median sale price of $164,900 - a 38.5% increase over the $119,100 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 13 homes sold in Madison in August 2016.

The median sales tax in Madison for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $4,328, approximately 2.6% of the median home sale price for August 2017.
