Lorain home prices fall in the second quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2019 in Lorain fell by $13,400 while total sales increased by 663.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2019, there were 336 homes sold, with a median sale price of $67,000 - a 16.7% decrease over the $80,400 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 44 homes sold in Lorain in the second quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Lorain for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,291, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2019.
