South Amherst home prices fall in the first quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2019 in South Amherst fell by $29,950 while total sales decreased by 75%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2019, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $70,500 - a 29.8% decrease over the $100,450 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were eight homes sold in South Amherst in the first quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in South Amherst for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,564, approximately 2.2% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2019.
