Avon home prices fall in the first quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2019 in Avon fell by $38,450 while total sales increased by 45.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2019, there were 70 homes sold, with a median sale price of $247,000 - a 13.5% decrease over the $285,450 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 48 homes sold in Avon in the first quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Avon for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $4,601, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2019.
