South Amherst home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in South Amherst fell by $7,550 while total sales increased by 11.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were 10 homes sold, with a median sale price of $147,450 - a 4.9% decrease over the $155,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were nine homes sold in South Amherst in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in South Amherst for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,564, approximately 1.1% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2018.
