Oberlin home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2018 in Oberlin rose by $34,250 while total sales decreased by 9.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2018, there were 28 homes sold, with a median sale price of $154,250 - a 28.5% increase over the $120,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 31 homes sold in Oberlin in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Oberlin for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,304, approximately 1.5% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2018.
