Lorain home prices rise in the third quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in Lorain rose by $12,927 while total sales decreased by 28.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were 209 homes sold, with a median sale price of $68,500 - a 23.3% increase over the $55,573 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 293 homes sold in Lorain in the third quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Lorain for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,291, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2018.
