Lorain home prices rise in the second quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2018 in Lorain rose by $13,885 while total sales decreased by 83.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2018, there were 44 homes sold, with a median sale price of $80,400 - a 20.9% increase over the $66,515 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 266 homes sold in Lorain in the second quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Lorain for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,291, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2018.
