Avon Lake home prices fall in the first quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2018 in Avon Lake fell by $3,000 while total sales decreased by 8.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2018, there were 85 homes sold, with a median sale price of $197,000 - a 1.5% decrease over the $200,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 93 homes sold in Avon Lake in the first quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Avon Lake for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $4,050, approximately 2.1% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2018.
