South Amherst home prices fall in the second quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2017 in South Amherst fell by $50,094 while total sales increased by 16.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2017, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $65,089 - a 43.5% decrease over the $115,183 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in South Amherst in the second quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in South Amherst for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,564, approximately 2.4% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2017.
