Painesville home prices fall in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Painesville fell by $10,300 while total sales remained unchanged with 245 homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were 245 homes sold, with a median sale price of $135,000 - a 7.1% decrease over the $145,300 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 245 homes sold in Painesville in the third quarter of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Painesville for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $4,252, approximately 3.1% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2017.
