Mentor home prices rise in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Mentor rose by $4,500 while total sales decreased by 13.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were 257 homes sold, with a median sale price of $155,000 - a 3% increase over the $150,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 296 homes sold in Mentor in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Mentor for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $5,005, approximately 3.2% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2017.
