Painesville home prices rise in the second quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2017 in Painesville rose by $4,050 while total sales increased by 0.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2017, there were 243 homes sold, with a median sale price of $144,000 - a 2.9% increase over the $139,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 242 homes sold in Painesville in the second quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Painesville for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $4,252, approximately 3% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2017.
