Painesville home prices fall in the first quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2017 in Painesville fell by $2,600 while total sales increased by 14.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2017, there were 183 homes sold, with a median sale price of $110,000 - a 2.3% decrease over the $112,600 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 160 homes sold in Painesville in the first quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Painesville for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $4,252, approximately 3.9% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2017.
