Avon Lake home prices rise in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Avon Lake rose by $10,500 while total sales decreased by 10.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 202 homes sold, with a median sale price of $214,000 - a 5.2% increase over the $203,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 226 homes sold in Avon Lake in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Avon Lake for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $4,050, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2018.
