Lorain home prices fall in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Lorain fell by $2,427 while total sales increased by 73.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 530 homes sold, with a median sale price of $55,573 - a 4.2% decrease over the $58,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 305 homes sold in Lorain in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Lorain for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,291, approximately 2.3% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2017.
