Oberlin home prices rise in the first half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in Oberlin rose by $10,750 while total sales increased by 75%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were 56 homes sold, with a median sale price of $119,450 - a 9.9% increase over the $108,700 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 32 homes sold in Oberlin in the first half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Oberlin for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,304, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2017.
