Solon home prices rise in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Solon rose by $16,642 while total sales increased by 5.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 187 homes sold, with a median sale price of $273,000 - a 6.5% increase over the $256,358 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 177 homes sold in Solon in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Solon for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $6,431, approximately 2.4% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2017.
