Independence home prices rise in the second quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2019 in Independence rose by $15,300 while total sales increased by 3.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2019, there were 29 homes sold, with a median sale price of $240,000 - a 6.8% increase over the $224,700 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 28 homes sold in Independence in the second quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Independence for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $4,557, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2019.
