Brooklyn home prices rise in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Brooklyn rose by $1,425 while total sales increased by 62.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were 52 homes sold, with a median sale price of $92,050 - a 1.6% increase over the $90,625 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 32 homes sold in Brooklyn in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Brooklyn for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $2,666, approximately 2.9% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2017.
