Independence home prices rise in January 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2019 in Independence rose by $64,350 while total sales decreased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2019, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $280,250 - a 29.8% increase over the $215,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in Independence in January 2018.

The median sales tax in Independence for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $4,557, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for January 2019.
