Brewster home prices fall in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Brewster fell by $43,900 while total sales increased by 40%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $90,000 - a 32.8% decrease over the $133,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were five homes sold in Brewster in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Brewster for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $1,771, approximately 2% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2018.
