Massillon home prices rise in the first half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2018 in Massillon rose by $1,964 while total sales decreased by 8.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2018, there were 250 homes sold, with a median sale price of $72,500 - a 2.8% increase over the $70,536 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 273 homes sold in Massillon in the first half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Massillon for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,481, approximately 3.4% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2018.
