Madison home prices rise in January 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2020 in Madison rose by $58,500 while total sales decreased by 20%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2020, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $212,500 - a 38% increase over the $154,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were five homes sold in Madison in January 2019.

The median sales tax in Madison for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $4,328, approximately 2% of the median home sale price for January 2020.
