Madison home prices rise in September 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in September 2018 in Madison rose by $42,500 while total sales decreased by 38.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In September 2018, there were 11 homes sold, with a median sale price of $165,000 - a 34.7% increase over the $122,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 18 homes sold in Madison in September 2017.

The median sales tax in Madison for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $4,328, approximately 2.6% of the median home sale price for September 2018.
