Madison home prices rise in the second quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2018 in Madison rose by $11,750 while total sales increased by 41.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2018, there were 44 homes sold, with a median sale price of $146,750 - a 8.7% increase over the $135,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 31 homes sold in Madison in the second quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Madison for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $4,328, approximately 2.9% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2018.
