Mentor home prices rise in the first quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2018 in Mentor rose by $18,200 while total sales decreased by 9.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2018, there were 156 homes sold, with a median sale price of $145,750 - a 14.3% increase over the $127,550 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 172 homes sold in Mentor in the first quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in Mentor for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $5,005, approximately 3.4% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2018.
