Avon Lake home prices fall in the first quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2020 in Avon Lake fell by $300 while total sales increased by 7.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2020, there were 91 homes sold, with a median sale price of $225,000 - a 0.1% decrease over the $225,300 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 85 homes sold in Avon Lake in the first quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Avon Lake for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $4,256, approximately 1.9% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2020.
