The Book of Common Prayer says that the Almighty God chiefly shows God’s power in showing mercy and pity. What a crazy assumption! It’s one thing to pray it in the church. It’s another thing to live it out. Quite frankly, mercy and pity seem a little pitiful. Except when we actually think of it. We’ve been the recipients of mercy and pity. All of us. Again and again. God loves you.
What can you do:
Have a scone, with jam. Remember how much God loves you. Maybe it’s a cookie. Maybe it’s a biscuit. Maybe it’s a fruit treat from your favorite bakery. Whatever it is, it’s a reminder of God’s goodness to you. And then, VOTE.
