Massillon home prices rise in the third quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2020 in Massillon rose by $43,575 while total sales increased by 60.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2020, there were 286 homes sold, with a median sale price of $135,500 - a 47.4% increase over the $91,925 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 178 homes sold in Massillon in the third quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Massillon for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,849, approximately 2.1% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2020.
