Canton home prices rise in the second quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2020 in Canton rose by $46,500 while total sales increased by 31%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2020, there were 486 homes sold, with a median sale price of $91,500 - a 103.3% increase over the $45,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 371 homes sold in Canton in the second quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Canton for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,388, approximately 2.6% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2020.
