Centerburg home prices fall in the first quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2017 in Centerburg fell by $70,565 while total sales remained unchanged with four homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2017, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $86,885 - a 44.8% decrease over the $157,450 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Centerburg in the first quarter of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Centerburg for 2017 was $1,491. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,379. This marks an increase of 8.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.7%.
