Mount Vernon home prices rise in February 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in February 2018 in Mount Vernon rose by $17,775 while total sales decreased by 8.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In February 2018, there were 11 homes sold, with a median sale price of $113,000 - a 18.7% increase over the $95,225 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 12 homes sold in Mount Vernon in February 2017.

The median sales tax in Mount Vernon for 2018 was $1,257. In 2017, the median sales tax was $1,231. This marks an increase of 2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.1%.
