Avance Funeral Home issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.

Obituary

Barbara “Bonnie” Ellen Pietsch, nee Mostoller, age 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Worthington Christian Village. She was born August 3, 1942 in Somerset, Pennsylvania to Reverend John and Vallie Mostoller. She married the love of her life, David Frank Pietsch, on March 22, 1963, who preceded her in death in July 2001. Bonnie was known by all as a happy and social person who loved to ask people about their lives.

Bonnie shared her love with others through her time and talents. She loved to bake, and as we near the Christmas holiday, we think of the many years that she baked beautiful and delicious cookies that she gave to friends and family. She was a talented seamstress and quilter and always talked fondly of her memories traveling the country to quilt shows and conventions with her friends. She was also a gifted musician and served as the organist for the East End Church of Christ in East Liverpool, Ohio for many years.

Bonnie was the owner of Pietsch’s Paint and Paper Place in East Liverpool. She loved meeting with customers and helping them to find just the right wallpaper or paint to make their homes beautiful. She derived great pleasure from helping her customers, who were truly friends to her. But Bonnie’s greatest joy came from being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was proud of her family and took great pride in caring for them.

Bonnie is survived by two brothers, John Mostoller, Jim Mostoller, and sisters-in-law, Kathy Kuhns and Cathy Mostoller; two sons and their wives, David and Debbie Pietsch, Doug and Rhonda Pietsch, a daughter and her husband Kimberly Pietsch and Mark Miller, and son Kevin Pietsch; grandchildren, Zachary Pietsch, Katelyn Pietsch, Joshua Miller, Darby Miller, and Ryan Pietsch; great grandchild, Nevaeh Edwards, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited join us celebrating her life Friday, December 18, at  the Avance Funeral Home and Crematory, 4976 Winton Road, Fairfield Ohio, 45014 at 11:30 AM (visitation), service at 12:30 PM .
