2020: Laporte experienced a 56.8% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in 2020 in Laporte rose by $52,500 while total sales increased by 16.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2020, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $145,000 - a 56.8% increase over the $92,500 median sale price for the previous year. There were six homes sold in Laporte in 2019.

The median sales tax in Laporte for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $1,850, approximately 1.3% of the median home sale price for 2020.
