Massillon median home prices rose by 56.5% in the second half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2020 in Massillon rose by $48,000 while total sales increased by 74.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2020, there were 540 homes sold, with a median sale price of $133,000 - a 56.5% increase over the $85,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 309 homes sold in Massillon in the second half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Massillon for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,849, approximately 2.1% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2020.
