The third quarter of 2020: Columbus experienced a 10.6% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2020 in Columbus rose by $17,650 while total sales decreased by 48.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2020, there were 1,307 homes sold, with a median sale price of $184,900 - a 10.6% increase over the $167,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 2,534 homes sold in Columbus in the third quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Columbus for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $2,665, approximately 1.4% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2020.
