West Chester home prices rose in the third quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2021 in West Chester rose by $55,000 while total sales decreased by 5.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2021, there were 285 homes sold, with a median sale price of $325,000 - a 20.4% increase over the $270,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 301 homes sold in West Chester in the third quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in West Chester for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $3,682, approximately 1.1% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2021.
