Rep. Richard Brown (D-Canal Winchester) announced today that the state Controlling Board approved several items of note this week, including the allocation of a $710,000 loan for the purchase and renovation of space for Crimson Cup, a Columbus-based coffee company.

“I’m grateful for this commitment to the economic success of House District 20,” said Rep. Brown. “By creating new jobs, Crimson Cup is expanding opportunity and ensuring our community remains a great place to live, work and thrive.”

The project, based in Canal Winchester, will support the company’s warehouse and shipping operations. Seven new full-time jobs will be created, while retaining 37 existing jobs at the site.

The Controlling Board also approved multiple items to support projects in Franklin County, including infrastructure repairs at The Ohio State University, public roadwork improvements, and an investment in community and youth behavioral health services.
