Today, Congressman Tim Ryan (OH-13) is announcing the first round of investments in repairing Ohio bridges under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Law he helped pass last year. Ryan is delivering $96.7 million for Ohio to fix bridges this year in FY2022, part of a total $483.3 million investment over the next five years.
“This Infrastructure Law will not only make Ohio safer for all of our cities and communities, it will also grow our local economies, create good-paying jobs, and allow commerce to move more efficiently,” said Congressman Ryan. “This is an important component of our efforts to rebuild the middle class and ensure that everyone gets a share in the growing prosperity of this country.”
The investment announced today is designed to help Ohio repair local bridges that are critical for getting to school and work, moving commerce, and connecting communities. The Infrastructure Law also includes a separate program designed to support larger bridges through a competitive grant program. Details on that program will be announced at a later date.
