Brooklyn median home prices rose by 19% in the second half of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2021 in Brooklyn rose by $24,700 while total sales decreased by 15.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2021, there were 70 homes sold, with a median sale price of $154,700 - a 19% increase over the $130,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 83 homes sold in Brooklyn in the second half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Brooklyn for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,031, approximately 2% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2021.
