College Credit Plus is Ohio's Dual Enrollment Program and is open to students in grades 7-12. Students interested in CCP for the 2022-2023 school year must follow a series of steps:
1. Students should talk with teachers and their counselor to see if College Credit Plus is a good option for them!
2. STUDENTS AND PARENTS/GUARDIANS must watch a mandatory counseling session to learn more about the opportunities available during the 2022-2023 school year, advantages and disadvantages of the program, and how to apply. This presentation is virtual and must be watched in its entirety. There will be a follow-up presentation at Northmont High School on February 14 @ 6 pm to answer any questions that students or families might have. Here is the link to the CCP Presentation: CCP Presentation 2022-2023
3. The law requires that the school be given written notification of a student's intent to participate by April 1. Intent to Participate forms can be accessed by visiting this link: CCP Intent form 2022-2023 In addition to the Intent to Participate form, all CCP students will need to complete a CCP checklist that is signed by a parent/guardian.
4. Following the necessary steps above, students will then be able to complete further steps of the process by applying to the college or university as a CCP student and completing necessary placement testing. Students who complete the above steps will have the opportunity to complete placement testing within the high school building in early March (for early applicants) and the middle of May. Students may also take the placement test at Sinclair or remotely from their home.
