Today, Representative Shontel M. Brown (OH-11) supported passage in the House of Representatives of the America Creating Opportunities for Manufacturing, Pre-Eminence in Technology and Economic Strength Act. The America COMPETES Act includes historic investments in research, innovation, and manufacturing capabilities to strengthen America’s economic competitiveness and ensure workers and businesses can make it in America.
“The America COMPETES Act makes long overdue investments in our nation’s workers and the American economy,” said Rep. Brown. “By accelerating the production of semiconductors, strengthening our supply chains, and investing in innovation and research, this bill will ensure the technologies and goods that will drive future growth are developed right here in America. These investments will strengthen our competitiveness and put Ohioans to work in good-paying, domestic manufacturing jobs.”
