Today, Rep. Shontel M. Brown (OH-11) applauded President Biden’s newly released proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2023 (FY23).
“Through his proposed budget, President Biden has made clear the value he places on working families and vulnerable Americans,” said Rep. Brown. “The budget seeks to lower prescription drug costs and make health care more affordable, while investing in child care, affordable housing, and critical nutrition programs. It also calls for more funding for key domestic priorities, from addressing gun violence and bolstering climate resiliency to connecting more Americans to high-speed, reliable internet service.
“These investments will build on the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the recently passed government funding bill to lower costs for Ohio families and create good-paying jobs in our state. I look forward to working with my colleagues to turn the President’s ideas into action.”
